ABSTRACT:
A network connection device allowing high-speed data conversion to ensure sufficiently high throughput is disclosed. The network connection device includes a plurality of conversion processors and a layer-4switch. The layer-4switch forwards an incoming IP packet to a selected one of the plurality of conversion processors depending on a result of analyzing the IP packet at layer4. Therefore, the processing of data packet and the processing of control packet can be performed in parallel by the plurality of conversion processors, resulting in high-speed packet transfer.
