ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to a process for preparing alcohols by hydroformylation of olefins or olefin mixtures, separation from the catalyst and subsequent hydrogenation, with an extraction being carried out after removal of the catalyst and before the hydrogenation of the aldehydes.
