ABSTRACT:
A liquid crystal device comprises a pair of substrates3aand3bbonded to each other with a sealing member4, a conductive member5disposed in the sealing member4in place, a pair of wirings29band33connected to each other via the conductive member5in a conductive area31set in the sealing member4in place, and a first dummy pattern34which runs through the part of the sealing member4opposite to the conductive area31. The cell thickness, which may become uneven due to the wiring29band the wiring33running through the sealing member4, is prevented from becoming irregular by providing a first dummy pattern34.
