ABSTRACT:
A GaAs MESFET coupled to an interdigited photoconductive detector uses the nternal gain of the interdigited photoconductive conductor and the transconductance of the MESFET to convert an optical control signal to an electrical current control signal which in turn is used to control a GaAs MMIC.
