ABSTRACT:
There is provided a process for producing a catalyst for olefin polymerization, which comprises the step of contacting (1) an organ aluminum compound, (2) an external electron donor compound and (3) a solid catalyst component obtained by a process comprising the steps of;(i) reducing a titanium compound represented by the following formula [I] with an organomagnesium compound in the presence of a fine particle and an organosilicon compound having an Si—O bond to obtain a solid product, and(ii) contacting the solid product, a halogenocompound having halogenation ability and an internal electron donor compound to obtaining the solid catalyst component.
