ABSTRACT:
A method for managing congestion on a network, the method including establishing a buffer (20) threshold bounding a first and a second buffer region (22, 24, 26), maintaining a rejection indicator for each of a plurality of network connections (24), and preventing the buffering (26) of a transmission bound for a first of the plurality of network connections if the buffer threshold is exceeded.
