ABSTRACT:
A problem of the present invention is to provide a semiconductor laser module for making precise temperature control possible.A semiconductor laser module1according to the present invention has a Peltier element4, a thermistor5for detecting the temperature of the Peltier element4, and a differential amplification circuit6for generating a control signal according to the detection signal from the thermistor5so that the surface temperature of the Peltier element4conforms to a set temperature. A parallel compensating circuit12for generating a compensating signal for compensating for a delay in temperature variation in the Peltier element4with respect to the input of current signal to the Peltier element4branches and is connected to the output portion of the differential amplification circuit6. The compensating signal is sent to an addition circuit9and detection correction signal obtained by adding the detection signal of the thermistor5and the compensating signal is generated. The detection correction signal is sent to the differential amplification circuit6and a control signal corresponding to the difference between the detection correction signal and a signal corresponding to set temperature is generated.
