The mounting member20and the lens holding member30are arranged along a predetermined axis12. The optical semiconductor element22is optically coupled to the lens32. The wall portion of the lens holding member30comprises a first inner surface30gand a second inner surface30f. The first inner surface30gis located outside a reference surface extending in a direction of the predetermined axis and intersecting with a supporting portion to form a predetermined closed line, and the second inner surface30fis located inside the reference surface.
