ABSTRACT:
An injection molding apparatus where the position of the auger can be accurately determined from the position of the electric linear motor. The electric linear motor is in direct communication with a first hydraulic piston and cylinder. The first hydraulic piston and cylinder is in hydraulic communication with a second hydraulic piston and cylinder. The second hydraulic piston and cylinder is in direct communication with the auger. Thereby, the position of the auger can be accurately controlled by controlling the position of the electric linear motor.
