ABSTRACT:
A heat exchange module for use with a plurality of similar modules to form a recuperator for use in an gas turbine engine. The module has a center section with a generally rectangular cross-sectional shape, a first side section with a generally triangular cross-sectional shape, and a second side section. The module can be combined with other modules to form a polygonal recuperator with a center aperture.
