ABSTRACT:
A child-resistant safety belt buckle is disclosed that relies for its effectiveness on differences in the ways young children and adults think rather than on presumed (but often non-existant) strength or dexterity differences. The child-resistant feature comprises a combination lock mechanism that incorporates at least one directly manipulated member, and, in some embodiments, at least one indirectly movable member.
