ABSTRACT:
A shadow mask for use in a color cathode ray tube to insure that a given electron beam impinges only on a given portion of the cathode ray tube screen. The sheet includes a periodic array of ribs and/or dimples extending out of the plane of the mask to impart substantial rigidity to the mask.
