Method for preparing polyethercyclicpolyol by heating alkali and/or alkaline earth hydroxide optionally with polyol, its precursors or derivatives, admixing epoxy alcohol or epihalohydrin therewith to initiate an addition reaction, and thermally condensing the product of the addition reaction.
