ABSTRACT:
According to one aspect of the invention, a graphical user interface is provided. The graphical user interface comprises a first window displaying a representation of a component available for use by a software application and a second window displaying information regarding an error related to the component if an error is experienced. The second window may comprise a first error window displaying identification of the error, a second error window displaying information regarding the nature of the error, and a third error window displaying information to assist a user in correcting the error. The error may be an error in locating the component, an error in loading a class file associated with the component, or an exception. When the error is an exception, the second window may further comprise a fourth error window displaying information regarding the exception.
