ABSTRACT:
In one embodiment, a method includes retrieving a network parameter for a computing device from a remote server. The method also includes updating data in a registry of the computing device based on the value of the network parameter. The retrieving of the network parameter and the updating of the data in the registry are performed prior to executing an operating system within the computing device.
