All light-emitting devices71to73are caused to emit lights, and the colored lights by light-emitting devices71to73are radiated to two-dimensional barcode10to read barcode information only of a black pattern by CMOS imager20. Information corresponding to this barcode information is displayed on display section90. When a user selects information by using input section100from among all the information, a light-emitting device corresponding to the selection is caused to emit a light, and a reading operation is performed.
