ABSTRACT:
An apparatus for producing printing plates (1) for printing newspapers includes: a plate feeder (2) for feeding plate materials (A); an exposure device (6) for exposing the plate materials conveyed from the plate feeder, the exposure device having an exposure drum (21) which is inclined by a specified angle .theta. with respect to a direction perpendicular to a direction of advancement of the plate materials and on which the plate materials are wound spirally, and an exposing element (22) for exposing the plate materials wound on the exposure drum; a development device (8) for developing the plate materials conveyed from the exposure device; and a guide device (12) capable of guiding two plate materials (A1) having standard width or one plate material (A2) having double width when they are conveyed from the plate feeder via the exposure device to the development device.
