ABSTRACT:
The invention provides an ink jet recording method including applying an ink onto an ink jet recording medium by ink jet technology, the recording medium containing a support and an ink receptive layer which is provided on or above the support and contains a water-soluble aluminum compound, and the ink containing a dye and 8% by mass or more of a water-soluble solvent based on the total amount of the ink, the water-soluble solvent having a SP value of 24 (MPa)1/2or less according to the Hoy method and a molecular weight of 220 or more.
