ABSTRACT:
The invention provides novel indane and tetrahydronaphthalene derivatives having the general formula ##SPC1##
Wherein R.sup.1 represents hydrogen or lower alkyl; R.sup.2 represents lower alkyl; R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 independently represent hydrogen or lower alkyl; and n is the integer 1 or zero; and the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition and quaternary ammonium salts thereof; which have hypotensive activity.
