ABSTRACT:
A teaching machine utilizes a card having recorded on it visually readable statements of problems and corresponding machine readable answers. The teaching machine displays the answers to the problem on the card positioned for solution only if the student first enters the correct answer on the keyboard. The teaching machine also includes interrogating devices for counting the number of attempted solutions and the number of correct answers by the student, along with devices to display the contents of the counting devices on the display.
