ABSTRACT:
An electrophotographic photosensitive member which comprises a layer containing a compound represented by the formula (1) shown below: ##STR1## wherein A represents 1,2-, 2,3- or 3,4-benzocarbazolyl group; R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3, which may be the same or different, each represent hydrogen atom, alkyl group, aralkyl group, aryl group or heterocyclic group, with proviso that R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 cannot be hydrogen atoms at the same time.
