ABSTRACT:
A process for the preparation of a thiazole derivative of the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1 to R.sup.4 are organic radicals and R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may also be hydrogen, by reacting a compound of the formula ##STR2## with a methylene-active compound of the formula ##STR3## in the presence of a base, and the thiazole derivative thus obtained.
