ABSTRACT:
Polyetherimides are provided having chemically combined alkylaryl diamine units and method for making. The polyetherimides have similar T.sub.g 's over broad mol percent ranges to polyetherimides made from phenylene diamine units while providing economic cost advantages during manufacture.
