ABSTRACT:
A method is disclosed for deforming a molybdenum based metal part, which involves press forging a part made of material selected from the group consisting of molybdenum metal and molybdenum metal alloys, at a temperature of from about 1700.degree. F. to about 2300.degree. F. at an average strain rate of from about 5 inches per minute to about 20 inches per minute.
