ABSTRACT:
A MIDI Controller has the capability to automatically randomize, on multiple MIDI channels, four key elements of sound, namely timbre, pitch, volume, and dynamic response, to produce new total sounds. The MIDI Controller includes a user configurable randomizer which can selectively randomize the four key sound elements through processor operators. The randomizer includes a random number generator, the output of which is selectively truncated depending upon the particular element being randomized.
