DESCRIPTION:
BRIEF SUMMARY
This application is a 371 of PCT/EP93/03067 filed Nov. 12, 1993.
The present invention relates to compounds of the general formula I ##STR2## where the index and the substituents have the following meanings:
n is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4, where the radicals R.sup.1 can be different if n>1;
X is CHOCH.sub.3, CHCH.sub.3 or NOCH.sub.3 ;
Y is O or NH;
R.sup.1 is nitro; cyano; halogen;
C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl; C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl; C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy; C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkoxy; C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio;
phenyl or phenoxy, where the aromatic rings can carry one to five halogens and/or one to three of the following radicals: C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkoxy and C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio;
or, if n>1, is a 1,3-butadiene-1,4-diyl group bonded to two adjacent C atoms of the parent structure, which for its part can carry one to four halogens and/or one or two of the following radicals: nitro, cyano, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkoxy and C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio;
R.sup.2 is nitro, cyano, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylcarbonylamino, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonylamino or benzyloxycarbonylamino;
R.sup.3, if X is CHOCH.sub.3 or NOCH.sub.3 and R.sup.2 is halogen, is an unsubstituted or substituted mono- or binuclear aromatic ring system which apart from carbons can contain one to four nitrogens or one or two nitrogens and an oxygen or sulfur or an oxygen or sulfur as ring members,
or is a group R.sup.4 --T--C(.dbd.Z.sup.1)-- or R.sup.5 --C(.dbd.Z.sup.2)--, where
.dbd.Z.sup.1 is .dbd.O, .dbd.S, .dbd.NR.sup.6 or .dbd.NOR.sup.4 ;
.dbd.Z.sup.2 is .dbd.O, .dbd.NR.sup.6, .dbd.NOR.sup.4, .dbd.N--NR.sup.7 R.sup.8, .dbd.NO--C(.dbd.O)--R.sup.4, .dbd.NO--C(.dbd.O)--NR.sup.7 R.sup.8 or .dbd.N--NR.sup.7 --C(.dbd.O)R.sup.4 ;
--T-- is --O--, --S--, --NR.sup.7 --, --NR.sup.7 NR.sup.8 --, --ONR.sup.7 -- or --NR.sup.7 O--;
R.sup.4 is hydrogen; tri(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)silyl; system which apart from carbons can contain one to three of the following hetero atoms as ring members: oxygen, sulfur and nitrogen; which apart from carbons can contain one to four nitrogens or one or two nitrogens and an oxygen or sulfur or an oxygen or sulfur as ring members;
R.sup.5 is hydrogen; cyano; halogen; system which apart from carbons can contain one to three of the following hetero atoms as ring members: oxygen, sulfur and nitrogen; which apart from carbons can contain one to four nitrogens or one or two nitrogens and an oxygen or sulfur or an oxygen or sulfur as ring members;
or, if .dbd.Z.sup.2 is .dbd.O, is a group R.sup.x R.sup.y C.dbd.NO--, where
R.sup.x is hydrogen, cyano, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio, C.sub.3 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkyl, phenyl or benzyl and
R.sup.y is hydrogen;
R.sup.x and R.sup.y, together with the C atom to which they are bonded, form an unsubstituted or substituted saturated or mono- or diunsaturated cyclic system which apart from carbons can contain one to three of the following hetero atoms as ring members: oxygen, sulfur and nitrogen;
R.sup.6 is hydrogen; system which apart from carbons can contain one to three of the following hetero atoms as ring members: oxygen, sulfur and nitrogen; or an unsubstituted or substituted mono- or binuclear aromatic ring system which apart from carbons can contain one to four nitrogens or one or two nitrogens and an oxygen or sulfur or an oxygen or sulfur as ring members;
R.sup.7 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl;
R.sup.8 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl or COR.sup.6.
In addition, the invention relates to processes for preparing these compounds, compositions containing them and their use for controlling pests and fungi.
