ABSTRACT:
A zoom lens system having a large relative aperture, an F number of 2.8 over the entire zooming range, and favorably corrected paraxial and offaxial aberrations comprising a front lens group having negative refractive power and a rear lens group having positive refractive power and so designed as to change magnification levels by varying an airspace between said front and rear lens groups, said rear lens group comprising at least two positive lens components, a negative lens component, a positive lens component and a negative lens component.
