ABSTRACT:
A silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one photographic emulsion layer containing tabular silver halide grains having an average aspect ratio of 5 or more and the silver halide color photographic material containing at least one compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an acyl group provided that both R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 do not represent hydrogen atoms at the same time, or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 form a ring; and r represents an integer of from 1 to 3.
The silver halide color photographic material can be bleached in a short period of time using a bleaching agent having a weak bleaching ability which meets requirements of preventing environmental pollution.
A method for processing the silver halide color photographic material by subjecting to color development, then to treatment with a bath having a bleaching ability is also disclosed.
