ABSTRACT:
A method of manufacturing a rotatable assembly adapted for use in a prime mover. The rotatable assembly includes a shaft having a peripheral surface along at least a part thereof and at least another component having an opening therethrough. In this method, a plurality of generally annular axially spaced apart ridges is deformed from the shaft, and the ridges are in part extended beyond the peripheral surface of the shaft. The opening of the other component is arranged generally circumferentially about at least some of the ridges in displacement preventing engagement therewith.
A method of manufacturing a prime mover is also disclosed.
