ABSTRACT:
A monodispersed silver halide emulsion has an average silver iodide content of 1 to 20 mol %, an average equivalent sphere diameter of 0.1 to 0.6 .mu.m, and 60% or more of the total projected area of all the grains in the emulsion are occupied by tabular silver halide grains each having principal planes composed of {100} faces in an amount of 80% or more based on the total surface area of each grain.
