ABSTRACT:
Certain sodium aluminum borate glasses containing about 2-11 mole percent of ZrO.sub.2, P.sub.2 O.sub.5 or SiO.sub.2 are good ionic conductors and are resistant to corrosion by molten sodium at about 300.degree. C. Exemplary is a glass consisting of 46 mole percent Na.sub.2 O, 46 mole percent B.sub.2 O.sub.3, 8 mole percent Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, 3.3 mole percent P.sub.2 O.sub.5 and 3.3 mole percent of ZrO.sub.2.
