ABSTRACT:
A process for the production of guanidino protected .omega.-aminoalkyl guanidines comprising reacting a diamine selectively at one amino group with an alkoxycarbonyl or aralkoxycarbonyl protected electrophilic guanylation reagent. The process of the invention is general and may be performed efficiently in one step yielding a product with high purity and in useful yields. The invention further refers to some compounds that are novel per se and to some novel compounds useful in the process of the invention.
