ABSTRACT:
A viewer has a speculum, lens and light that is used to enable a person to visually examine the tissue and tympanic membrane of the middle ear of a human and fluids located therein. A fluid collector for withdrawing fluids from the middle ear has a piston and cylinder assembly joined to an enlongated fluid pick-up tube. The piston is moved with a biasing spring relative to the cylinder to draw fluid through the tube and into the cylinder.
