ABSTRACT:
A new process for the preparation of 5-substituted 2-chloropyridines of the general formula (I) ##STR1## is provided, in which R represents alkyl or arylalkyl, each of which is optionally substituted by halogen.
The new process is characterised in that acetenamides of the general formula (II) ##STR2## in which R has the abovementioned meaning, and
