ABSTRACT:
An endoscope having an insertion section to be inserted into a tubular cavity, an observation lens provided in a distal end of the insertion section, and a rounded distal portion protruding from the distal end of the insertion section in the insertion direction. The observation lens is positioned with its center displaced from the forewardmost tip of the rounded distal portion.
