ABSTRACT:
An upper magnetic head 71 is supported on an upper gimbal plate 66 about an upper pivot 63-1 to allow swing of the upper magnetic head 71. A lower magnetic head 72 is supported on a lower gimbal plate 67 about a lower pivot 64-1 to allow swing of the lower magnetic head 72. The upper pivot 63-1 is resiliently held on an upper carriage 61 with an upper pivot spring 63. The lower pivot 64-1 is resiliently held on a lower carriage 62 with a lower pivot spring 64.
