Imidazoline derivatives of the formula ##STR1## having the RS or S configuration wherein R.sup.1 is alkyl C.sub.1-4, allyl, benzyl, phenethyl or hydroxyalkyl C.sub.2-4 and their non-toxic salts.
Processes for their preparation and pharmaceutical compositions thereof. The compounds exhibit presynaptic .alpha..sub.2 -adrenoreceptor antagonist activity.
