ABSTRACT:
Flame-retardant polyurethane foam products are produced by mixing and reacting an organic phosphorus containing compound which will react with a polyisocyanate compound and produce a gaseous compound and a polyisocyanate compound in the presence of a polyurethane catalyst. No other blowing agent is necessary.
The flame-retardant polyurethane foam products may be used for thermal and sound-insulation, for cushioning, for molding useful objects and as a cavity filler.
