ABSTRACT:
Dispersions comprising particles of a phenolic cyan photographic coupler of Formula I dispersed in an aqueous gelatin solution substantially free of permanent organic solvent demonstrate improved stability to dispersion crystallization. ##STR1## R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 in Formula I each represent an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, or a heterocyclic group. R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, an acylamino group, or a non-metallic atomic group necessary to form a nitrogen-containing 5-membered or 6-membered ring together with R.sub.2. X represents a hydrogen atom or a group capable of being released upon a coupling reaction with oxidation product of a developing agent, and n represents 0 or 1.
