ABSTRACT:
A magnetic recording medium is disclosed. The recording medium comprises a support; a first magnetic layer provided at the position farthest from the support which comprises magnetic particles and a binder; a second layer contacted with the surface of the first layer faced to the support which comprises particles having a crystal size of S.sub.2 (nm) and a binder; and a third layer provided at a position between the second layer and the support which comprises particles having an crystal size of S.sub.3 (nm) and a binder, and the S.sub.2 and S.sub.3 have the following relations;
