ABSTRACT:
In a semiconductor memory device having a plurality of memory cell arrays, data input/output terminals receive information data and operations command data and also output information data read out from the memory cell arrays. An operation command buffer temporarily stores the operation command data. In response to a control signal, an operation block controls the information data to be written into the memory cell arrays and read therefrom in a manner determined by the operation command data supplied from the operation command buffer.
