ABSTRACT:
A lubricating oil additive composition which imparts improved oxidation properties to crankcase lubricants comprises an antioxidant selected from aromatic or alkyl sulfides and polysulfides, sulfurized olefins, sulfurized carboxylic acid esters and sulfurized ester-olefins, and a hydroxy amine of the formula: ##STR1## WHEREIN A and A' are C.sub.2 -C.sub.10 alkylene, R is C.sub.1 -C.sub.30 alkyl, Y is H, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl of --A--OH, y is 0, 1 or 2, and x is 1 or 2.
Lubricating oil compositions containing this additive composition are also disclosed.
