Copolymers are formed from aromatic acetylenic monomers, or prepolymers fed therefrom, and carborane-(siloxane or silane)-unsaturated hydrocarbon polymers. These copolymers can be used as is to form useful articles, adhesives, matrix materials, and coatings for various marine and aerospace applications, or may be pyrolyzed to form carbon-ceramic composites.
