ABSTRACT:
A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a yellow coupler, at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a magenta coupler and at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a cyan coupler, wherein at least one of the silver halide emulsion layers contains (1) silver halide grains having a silver chloride content of 95 mol % or more and containing from 1.times.10.sup.-7 to 1.times.10.sup.-3 mol of iron ion per mol of the silver halide in a state wherein the concentration of iron ion which is present in a surface region of the silver halide grains which amounts to 50% or less of the grain volume is ten times or more as high as that of other region, and (2) a water-soluble compound represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## the substituents are defined in the specificaton. The silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material not only has good rapid processing suitability and short exposure suitability, but also is prevented from sensitization and pressure-induced sensitization after preservation thereof for a long period of time before exposure.
