ABSTRACT:
A medical electrode comprises a flat, resilient, electrically non-conductive backing member; a flat sensor element applied to one surface of the backing member and positioned for leaving a portion of this one surface exposed about a major portion of the periphery of the sensor element; and an electrically conductive coating applied to selected areas of the exposed surface of the sensing element.
