ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic material comprising a support and at least two silver halide emulsion layers on one or both sides of the support, wherein at least one of silver halide emulsion layers contains a polymer having a repeating unit represented by the general formula (I) and/or dextran: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, which may be the same or different, and are each a hydrogen atom, or a group having 10 or less carbon atoms and selected from the group consisting of a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group, and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 may combine together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached to form a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring; L is an (m+1)-valent connecting group; n is 0 or 1; and m is 1 or 2.
