ABSTRACT:
A method for the preparation of 3-chloropropyltrichlorosilane is carried out by conversion of trichlorosilane with allylchloride in the presence of a platinum containing polymeric organosiloxane-ammonium compound containing units represented by the structural formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 represent a group of the formula:
