ABSTRACT:
Digital television signal on which an error correction code is aditionally employed is over recorded on a previous recorded tape portion without erasing the same and then reproduced. A reproduced and error corrected digital television signal is compared with the digital television signal so that an identity between both digital television signals is detected. In a case if the identity is not detected and error flag of the reproduced television signal is not detected, a signal indicating a record error is generated so that an operater can recognize an occurrence of the record error.
