ABSTRACT:
A technique for supplying power from a battery to a transmitter included as part of an insert in a magazine which is used to monitor magazine readership. A switch in the insert is open when the magazine is closed to break the circuit to the transmitter. However, the switch is closed when the magazine is opened.
