ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to conditioned pigment particle compositions which are used to color water based materials, such as hydrates, and methods for producing the conditioned pigment particle compositions. The conditioned pigment particles are made by first establishing a pigment color by selecting or combining non-conditioned pigment particles and then mixing the non-conditioned pigment particles having the desired color with an amount of binder to form agglomerated conditioned pigment particles. The conditioned pigment particles produced by the present method have an angle of repose ranging between about 28.degree. and about 34.degree. and a degradation rate of less than 5%.
